Join the Hanover Seniors as they head to the Capitol City – Historic Richmond. Take a leisurely boat trip down the canal while taking in the historic sites. As you travel along the canal, the narrator will fill you with interesting stories and facts about the canal and all the restorations taken place downtown. Next, enjoy a plated lunch at The Tobacco Company. Choose from entrees such as grilled chicken and spinach salad, Virginia crab sandwich, soup & sandwich, southern barbecue pork sandwich including a beverage and dessert. After lunch it off to a guided riding tour of historic Richmond. See some of the restored neighborhoods including Shockoe Slip, Church Hill, and Monument Avenue. Weather permitting, we’ll take a brief walk into the Confederate section of Hollywood Cemetery. The tour also includes the newly renovated State Capitol. Cost of trip is $99 which includes the following: Round trip Motorcoach Transportation, Canal Boat Ride & Guided Tour of Richmond, Lunch at The Tobacco Company, Tax and Gratuity for Lunch, Driver and Guide Gratuities.
