Christopher Stephens is a noted landscape painter and painting instructor from Front Royal, Virginia who specializes in the scenery of the Shenandoah Valley. Stephens paintings are visceral reactions to his environment; he paints what he feels when immersed in the valley.   Lush and rich abstractions of actual landscape colors and bold, thick brushstrokes collide on canvas to portray the light and nature of the valley, sweeping the viewer away to the hills and hollows of our beautiful dominion.
