National Night Out is a unique drug/crime prevention program where law enforcement agencies and communities participate nationwide on one single day.

National Night Out is designed to:

Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;

Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;

Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships;

Sends a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organizing and fighting back.

Creates a sense of security and safety for our residents.

Please support your neighborhood by participating in National Night Out activities. If you are unable to attend your neighborhood gathering, you can still participate in this event in several different ways.

You can take a walk through your neighborhood, sit out on your front porch, or simply turn your front porch light on to show your support for this event.

If your neighborhood would like to participate in National Night Out, please contact Crime Prevention Officer Chip Watts at (804) 412-0615.
