In recent years, Hanover County has been impacted by tornadoes and earthquakes that came with no warning. Were you and your family prepared? Are you prepared for any disasters that lie in our future?

Saturday, Sept. 21, the Central Virginia Emergency Management Alliance will host its fourth Survivor Day, inviting residents to learn how to prepare for disasters. Hanover County’s event will be held in the Board Room of the Hanover County Administration Building. Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. and the training will conclude by noon.

Seating is limited, so please sign up today! You can register online at www.SurvivorDay.com or you can call 211. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

One member from each household attending will receive a free backpack and survivor supply supplies.

The Hanover County Administration Building is located at 7516 County Complex Road, Hanover 23069.

These programs are presented by the Central Virginia Emergency Management Alliance with funding from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
