The Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance with identifying two suspects involved in the theft of credit cards which resulted in several thousands of dollars in losses.

In a statement released today, Lt. Chris Whitley said the thefts occurred Aug. 21 while the victims were shopping at separate retail locations. In the first incident, one of the suspects distracted the victim while the other stole her wallet from her purse. During the second incident, the suspects stole the victim’s wallet from her unlocked vehicle.

The suspects then immediately used the stolen cards at local retailers in Hanover and Henrico, where they purchased electronics and gift cards.

The suspects are described as black females and are believed to be driving a full-sized SUV.

Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
