An information session for the 2014 Hanover Master Gardener training will be held Monday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Department of Social Services seminar room at the Hanover Human Services Center in Ashland.
Current and potential applicants are cordially invited to attend. Registration is not required.
The 60-hour training will begin Jan. 8, 2014 and meets every Monday and Wednesday for 10 weeks through March 26 in the Department of Social Services seminar room.
Fee for the class is $140, which covers the cost of the Master Gardener Handbook, the Pest Management Guide and other materials for each trainee.
The application period is now open and runs through Dec. 2. Interested individuals are invited to contact the Hanover County Extension Office, (804) 752-4310 or email@example.com for an application packet.
Special recycling event upcoming
During this event, Hanover County residents can bring for free recycling electronic waste or any personal information or documents you want shredded. There is no charge to dispose of the “e-waste” (except televisions, which cost $7) or personal documents. For those wishing to dispose of televisions, you must pay by check.
