Suspects sought in thefts from vehicles

The Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance with identifying two suspects involved in breaking into and stealing valuables from multiple vehicles parked in gym parking lots in the Mechanicsville area.  A similar incident is believed to have occurred in Henrico County.

Nov. 21, between 5:30 and 7 p.m., three vehicles were broken into by the suspects by smashing the windows.  One incident occurred in the 7300 block of Bell Creek Road, and two occurred in the 8000 block of Rutland Center Boulevard. Here, the suspects stole the victims’ purses and other valuables in plain sight.  A third incident occurred Dec. 2 in the 8000 block of Rutland Center Boulevard during the same time frame.

The suspects are believed to be driving a black Dodge Dart with tinted windows. The suspects are also believed to be stealing license plates from other vehicles prior to committing the crimes to avoid detection.

Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
