Ashland Police seek armed robbery suspect

The Ashland Police Department is looking for the man they say robbed a local convenience store at gunpoint early Sunday morning.

Dec. 15, at approximately 4 a.m., an unidentified male made entry to the 7-11 located in the 100 block of South Carter Road, produced what was believed to be a hunting rifle and demanded money. The clerk cooperated with the suspect and he left without any further incident with an undisclosed amount of money. He fled on foot in an unknown direction and it is unknown whether a vehicle was involved.

The male suspect was wearing a dark jacket, grey hooded sweatshirt and a dark colored bandana around his face.
