Lt. Chris Whitley said in a statement that investigators have arrested Brian M. Braxton, 28, of the 15200 block of Concord Road in Caroline, in connection to four robberies that occurred last week at Hanover truck stops.

“I’m exceptionally proud that we were able to quickly solve these robberies and prevent anyone else from being victimized,” said Col. David R. Hines, Hanover sheriff. “I’m also very appreciative of the remarkable efforts of those who devoted themselves to solving these crimes. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation for the media coverage afforded to these incidents and the public’s help, which directly assisted us in furthering this investigation.”

Braxton has been charged with four felony counts of robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, as well as five felony counts of abduction. He is being held at Pamunkey Regional Jail pending a Monday morning arraignment in Hanover General District Court.
