American Family Fitness is hosting the Family Fun Day Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Virginia Center Commons in the parking lot near the food court entrance. Accepting Donations The Richard S. Gillis Library in Ashland is now accepting books for their July 4th book sale. Please bring books in good condition to the library at 201 S. Railroad Avenue. We ask that you not drop off more than one carton or two bags of books at a time. The book sale will be held at the Gillis Library July 4 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The Mechanicsville TEA Party will host a Forum Panel Discussion Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. on “What is a Conservative” featuring former U.S. Senate Candidate Jamie Radtke, State Senator Tom Garrett and long time Republican activist Todd Vander Pol as panelists discussing the various elements of what defines a conservative today. The program will be moderated by Robin Lawson, editor of the award-winning West Point newspaper, the Tidewater Review.
