      Those Harvey Girls

      Our full-length production of this world-premiere musical tells the story of three African-American sisters who began singing together as small children and rose to prominence as one of Virginia’s most well-known Gospel-singing groups, “The Harvey Girls.” Their stories will entertain, amuse and enlighten, and their music will raise the roof. Only two student performances, so reserve your seats early!

    3. Cancer Caregivers Support Group
      2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      Bon Secours Richmond Health System hosts an open support group for cancer caregivers from 2-3 pm on Tuesday, March 3 . You have many feelings as you take care of your loved one. It is common to feel stressed and overwhelmed throughout this experience. We are here for you as you do not have to navigate this journey alone. The meetings take place the second Tuesday of each month at Memorial Regional Medical Center ‘s Cancer Resource Center, located between MOB 1 and Radiology Waiting Room , 8260 Atlee Road Mechanicsville, V a . Various Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday dates. Show is approximately 2 hours. Various Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sunday. Evening shows are available. The Harvey sisters bring their rare gift to the stage, with sounds that transcend gender, race, and religion. This all-new show highlights three young girls growing up in rural, 1960’s Virginia, sharing their spirit through song. The sisters have a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs that have made them who they are today, and through it all, they have kept their faith and kept on singing. Featuring Gospel Music legend Cora Harvey Armstrong in her third starring role on the Mill stage.

      Five stories by the master American Storyteller! It’s the late 1800’s, some local characters have gathered on the front porch of the General Store to see who can tell the tallest tale. “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County”, “Science vs. Luck’, ant three other tales are told in “story theatre” style.
