    1. Take-Charge Monday for Take-Charge Seniors
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Take charge of your own personal and financial safety at a free seminar for Hanover County seniors. Sponsored by the Hanover/Ashland Triad. Arm yourself with knowledge to avoid scams and financial fraud, and avoid exploitation.

This is a free seminar sponsored by the Hanover/Ashland Triad for Hanover County seniors to provide information on how they can learn to recognize and avoid scams, keep from being a victim of financial fraud, and avoid exploitation. Hear talks by the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, the Ashland Police Department, Better Business Bureau, and the State Attorney General’s Office, visit with vendors from local-area agencies and businesses, and network with other seniors – and perhaps even win a door prize

      A life in song

      Message:

With her legendary 1961 comeback concert as the backdrop, Judy Garland (played by Richmond phenom Grey Garrett) leads the audience through a whirlwind of memories starting with her childhood days in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, to the studios of MGM, marriages and divorces, and finally to Carnegie Hall. It’s a life packed with love, passion, courage, and resilience, featuring some of the greatest songs of the 20th century. A cast of fascinating characters helps her tell her story. Don’t miss it!
