Fundraiser Turkey Shoot for Three Rivers Livestock 4-H Club
Come out and support this great 4-H Club. Turkey Shoot will take place rain or shine. Prizes & Money Rounds. $3 per round to shoot and $5 per round to shoot money rounds. Also will have a bake sale, hot dog/chip/drinks available, and 50/50 raffle.

Three Rivers Livestock 4-H has members from all over Hanover County. Kids show livestock (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, & poultry) at local, regional, and national livestock shows, county fairs, and state fairs.
Members are also very involved in community service – providing meal for Fisher House residents, visiting Ashland Nursing Home, Donating Ag related books to Hanover Elementary Schools, sending Christmas Cards to veterans, hosting Ag Preschool Day at Caroline County Fair, and more.
Club is also very activie in educating the publice about agriculture and its importance to everyone.

Back by popular demand, this free, outdoor event will feature musical performances, a play, polka dancing, a large farm life exhibition and fun activities for children. This year’s festival will feature a special performance of “Lydia Comes to America,” an original play written and performed by Zitta family. A special exhibit on “kroje,” the traditional folk costume, has been added to the program. The area’s historically Czech and Slovak churches will be selling food based on traditional recipes. Baked goods such as “kolache” and Czech and Slovak beer will also be available for purchase.
Come learn about the rich and unique culture of Virginia’s longtime Czech and Slovak-American community, you are guaranteed to enjoy yourself. The Heritage Center will also feature new exhibits and artifacts about the community.

When the Home Building Association of Richmond’s (HBAR) 2014 Parade of Homes kicks off this October, it will be the 63rd consecutive year the event has been held in the Greater Richmond area. The Parade will feature 70 new homes and 1 remodeled home built by 34 builder members and more than half are decorated models. The homes are located throughout the region, including the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, King William, New Kent, and Powhatan, and the city of Richmond. 10th Annual Marching Band Invitational Event (HHMI)
The 10th annual Hanover Hawk Marching Invitational will be presented from 2pm-9pm on Saturday, October 11, at the Hanover High School Stadium, rain or shine. The event will feature marching bands from across the state performing in competition and including brass, woodwinds, percussion and color guard.
