      Dual Recovery Anonymous is for those seeking relief from an emotional or mental disorder & a co-occurring substance abuse problem.

      The group is peer run, meaning that it is run by people with a mental illness and substance abuse history.

      The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute is now accepting applications for its Minority Political Leadership Institute (MPLI). The Minority Political Leadership Institute (MPLI) is a collaborative initiative of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus Foundation and The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University. MPLI is an intensive seven-month experience designed to promote leadership development for all individuals interested in issues important to minority communities including: community economics, political climate, civic engagement, and racial equity. MPLI offers insights regarding leadership legacy and culture, personal leadership, policy and legislative processes, responsible stewardship, public service, and integrity for future leaders. MPLI offers insightsregarding personal leadership, policy and legislative processes, leadership legacy and culture, responsible stewardship, public service, and integrity for future leaders. Each program year participants engage and interact with communities across Virginia and learn about unique strengths and issues facing different regions of the Commonwealth.

       

      Participation: MPLI is open to anyone regardless of race/ethnicity or partisanship who is interested issues facing underserved communities.

      Gallery Flux has invited over 28 regional artists to exhibit a miniature collection of their works for the 2013 holidays. Each artist will exhibit between four to eight pieces, no larger than 8″ x 8″. All work is priced between $40 and $400 to encourage entry level collecting.
