      Opening Reception, Thursday, October 2nd from 5:30-8:00 pm

       

      Gallery Artist, Marilyn Hageman Borglum, will be exhibiting her newest equestrian artwork along with her urban drawings.

       

      At the Reception: Exhibiting Artist, Marilyn Borglum, will be visiting from Illinois to discuss her artwork and set up appointments to come to your barn, sketch your horse or pet, in turn, providing a unique commission experience.

       

       

      Gallery Flux is open Tuesday- Friday from 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-4pm.

      Dual Recovery Anonymous meets Thursdays at the Thomas Hale Education Center at Sunrise House.

      Dual Recovery Anonymous is for those seeking relief from an emotional or mental disorder & a co-occurring substance abuse problem.

      The group is peer run, meaning that it is run by people with a mental illness and substance abuse history.

You’ll laugh til it hurts.

    3. Free Flu Shot Clinic at St. Francis Watkins Centre
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Bon Secours St. Francis Watkins Centre will partner with local businesses to host a free flu shot clinic with free flu shots, health tips, and fun educational activities for families and kids! Flu shots will be available for both adults and children. Doctors and nurses will be on site to administer free flu shots and educate visitors about staying healthy during flu season. For shorter wait times, participants can complete paperwork ahead of time at http://www.watkinsER.com. There will be raffles and giveaways, as well as refreshments and fun for the entire family!

    4. 2014 Parade Of Homes
      12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      When the Home Building Association of Richmond’s (HBAR) 2014 Parade of Homes kicks off this October, it will be the 63rd consecutive year the event has been held in the Greater Richmond area. The Parade will feature 70 new homes and 1 remodeled home built by 34 builder members and more than half are decorated models. The homes are located throughout the region, including the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, King William, New Kent, and Powhatan, and the city of Richmond. This is your best opportunity get inspired and see every type of new home imaginable, showcasing the latest in designs, construction techniques, and materials, at prices ranging from the $190’s to $1,450,000. This premier showcase of new homes in the region will be held October 4-5, 11-12 and 18-19. Hours are from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free. The Parade of Homes Plan Book and the website, RichmondParadeofHomes.com, includes detailed information about the event and the home entries, including home designs, floor plans and descriptions, detailed directions to each home, and a map. The magazine is free and will be available beginning September 20 at area Martin’s and Kroger supermarkets, as well as at HBAR headquarters, 400 N. Ridge Road in western Henrico County.
