  • Instrument donation drive underway

    Hanover County Public Schools is celebrating “Music in Our Schools Month” by holding an instrument donation drive.  During the month of March, anyone interested in donating band or orchestra instruments in good working condition or in need of minor repair is encouraged to drop them off at any HCPS school during normal business hours.     The Hanover Humane Society will once again offer its “Loving Critter Camp” this July for animal-loving children (rising third through fifth graders) during summer vacation. Hanover Humane has dedicated this educational program for children in honor of Ms. Diana Lynn Loving, one of Hanover Humane’s patrons.   • Girls State scholarship interviews upcoming in March

    Interviews for scholarships to American Legion Auxiliary Girl’s State will be held this year on Sunday, March 22, from 2-5 p.m. Interviews will be conducted at American Legion Post 175 at 8700 Bell Creek Road, Mechanicsville.
