Humane Society hosts ‘Pet Photos with Santa’ event

Dress your pet in his or her holiday finery and join the Hanover Humane Society Saturday, Dec. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for its inaugural “Pet Photos with Santa.”  The event will be held at Hanover Humane’s facility at 12190 Washington Highway in Ashland.   • 2nd annual Santa Paws Tree benefits Hanover’s homeless animals

    Would you like to help homeless animals during this holiday season? Last year Hanover residents were extremely generous with their donations to the pound at Hanover Animal Control. Over 3,000 pounds of food was collected, along with many other items including bedding, toys, carriers, and pet beds.     The Hanover Humane Society truly went to the dogs when Chip, a former Humane Society pup, had his fifth birthday party at Hanover Humane’s facility in Ashland. Four of Chip’s siblings were able to join him for the party; his canine mom, Katie, and his brother, Ben, were not able to attend the festivities.
