We have 10 calendar dates for the 2016-2017 school year. All local high school students are encouraged to attend. This is a free event to see what it’s like to take an ACT or SAT before taking the official test:

Pickle Ball is now being offered at Ashland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Hunter Hall Gym, 301 S. James Street, Ashland. Thursday, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. You do not need to know how to play Pickle Ball; it’s easy to learn. Come on out and have fun while exercising! Equipment is provided. No cost!

Meet Edgar Allan Poe’s first and last love in this touching program. Young Sarah Elmira Royster fell in love with her handsome neighbor Edgar before he left for university, but her family disapproved and convinced her to marry another. After both of their spouses died, Elmira’s and Edgar’s romance bloomed again only months before Poe’s mysterious death in Baltimore in October of 1849. Hear of Elmira’s life and how Poe affected her.
