The Home Building Association of Richmond’s 65th Annual Parade of Homes event will return to the Greater Richmond area on October 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, and 22-23 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. This event is the premier program showcasing the best new homes in the region and is free for the public. There will be 90 new homes built by 36 builder members in this year’s show. This is the best opportunity to see every type of new home imaginable in the area, showcasing the latest in innovative ideas, spectacular design features and floor plans, and master craftsmanship, at prices ranging from the $200s to over $1,200,000.

MonicaRoaImagesmallIn this workshop, Monica Rao will spend the first 15 minutes sharing her personal story as well as how participants, through meditation and spiritual healing will engage with hands on experience and group discussion. This interactive hour long workshop will help participants find inner peace and inner silence in a way that the mind will endeavor to eliminate unwanted thoughts. The goal is to help everyone who is involved to find a state of a mindful, intuitive, fulfilled, grounded, joyful state of being. Ultimately, she aims to help people alleviate themselves of stress, anxiety, and illness so that they are able to find their inner talent and happiness.

Will be collecting Winter Coats, Canned Goods and New Toys for donation to West Hanover Food Pantry, Puritan Cleaners, and Hanover Social Services. Beautiful Handmade Queen size Quilt will be raffled at Auction.

Christmas-sceneArt Exhibit and holiday entertainment for the entire family

This celebration will include seasonal musical entertainment by performer Donald Coles and the mellow mature sounds of medal-winning Quartet, Youth Reclamation Project. A reading of the classic tale “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Clement Clarke Moore, chances to win door prizes, an opportunity to create and sign holiday cards for veterans, and children’s art activities. The event will also be the first night of the 12 foot holiday tree being lit.
“Wee Holiday Village,” a three-dimensional showing of miniature houses and dioramas with holiday themes will also open on December 9. This exhibit will be on display through Friday, December 30. The Spotlight Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
