Gabriel Pearce Memorial Scholarship

Posted on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 8:37 am

In June we awarded our third Gabriel Pearce Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. We have been able to award one each year since my brother Gabriel passed away in a tragic car accident in the summer of 2014. We hope to be able to continue to do this every year for a graduating high school senior graduating from Patrick Henry High School and that plans to continue on their education at VCU College. This year the Gabriel Pearce Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Gunner Hicks. The way we are able to raise the money for the memorial scholarship is by holding a Gabriel Pearce Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser Fall Event every year on the first Saturday of October. It is open to the public. We hold it at Berea Baptist Church which is located right on the corner of Pouncey Tract and Ashland Road. The address is 15475 Ashland Road Rockville, Va. 23146. It will be held from 10 to 3 p.m. We will have vendors, crafters, kid activities and fair like games, bounce house, silent auction, raffle items, live music, hot food and a bake sale. So, it will be a lot of family fun! So come on out and enjoy the fun! We wouldn’t be able to award a 2,500 memorial scholarship every year to a deserving senior if it wasn’t for our community supporting this great cause. A big thank you to everyone that has supported The Gabriel Pearce Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser. We hope to see you out there!
