Hanover showed its American spirit for the Fourth of July all throughout the County. For those who didn’t make it out to the beach or lake to cool off, fireworks, cook outs and American flags symbolized the Nation’s Independence Day.
The Ashland Fourth of July parade showcased some of the Town’s old favorites: the lawn chair brigade, pets and plenty of familiar faces. After the parade people headed over to the Hanover Arts & Activities Center lawn for the Hanover Band and kids’ games.
“We’ve been here 20 years and it’s one of my favorite times of the year,” Ashland Mayor James Foley said during the lawn festivities. “You get to catch up with old friends—in the shade.”
Inside the Center, judges tasted creative masterpieces at the annual Fourth of July pie contest.
