Mega Middle camp is the place to be

Posted on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10:44 am

Mega Middle is where your tween and teen will want to be. This program is perfect for the rising 6 through rising 8 graders, where staff will keep campers engaged and “tweeting” their friends about what a great time they are having. MEGA Middle camps run 3, two-week sessions, June 26 – July 6, July 10 – July 20, and July 24 – August 3. Your Junior High camper can choose from either the MEGArtisan, MEGA Middle, or MEGAccel camps. MEGArtisan is being held at the Georgetown School / Hanover Center for Trades and Technology center and will focus on more creative activities and amazing arts, plus an awesome field trip EVERY DAY! This camp is where your creative and adventurous teen will want to be! The MEGA Middle specific camps are held at Lee Davis and Patrick Henry High Schools and Pearson’s Corner Elementary. This camp has an action packed summer schedule featuring three or more adventurous field trips each session, along with interactive presentations and uniquely challenging activities and “pin it” worthy projects. Lastly, MEGAccel is being held at the Hoops Basketball Academy and will accelerate your camper’s summer! There will be 3-point competitions, dodgeball tournaments, saucer slam, spikeball, pickleball, 3 on 3 basketball games, kickball and wiffleball. (Note: Very limited spaces left in MEGAccel, as some sessions have already filled, this camp location / program may not be available).

Fees for each session of MEGA camps are $130 for Hanover residents and $210 for non-residents. Camp runs from 8 – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. With a fun summer planned, there is no other place your teen will want to be! For specific information about the MEGA camp offerings, browse www.hanoverparksrec.com. Online registration is easy, safe and convenient. Be sure to secure your campers spot as spaces are filling fast!
