Valentine's ball honors Charlotte Reynolds' memory

When a woman carries a child for nine months it is the most amazing thing in the world. You are now responsible for a life that you have created.  The loss of a child is the loss of innocence, the death of the most vulnerable and dependent.
Rachel and Roger Reynolds, who live in Ashland and own Romp-n-Roll across from Virginia Center Commons, lost their 4-year-old daughter Charlotte Reynolds, who died of a brain tumor Jan. 7.
"When our daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor on Jan. 20, 2009 our world was turned upside down," said Rachel Reynolds. "After Charlotte's first surgery, she had a lot of difficulty moving. We could hear her talking and even counting....
