A Scout's day at the 2010 Jamboree

There were many things to do at the recent National Scout Jamboree in Caroline County but only so much you could do in a day.
The first thing we did was wake up and cook ourselves breakfasts that varied from bacon and eggs to French toast and sausage. Next thing was to clean up the campsite and pack our day packs full of water, snacks, money, trading patches and a map.
The patrols usually broke off into groups of two or three, sometimes even five. They traveled around and waited in long lines for activities like BMX, bikathlon, pioneering set ups, archery, a conservation trail and many, many more different activities.
