Church of the Redeemer exhibit benefits homeless, Haitian recovery

Enjoy 350 extraordinary Nativities from around the world in this sixth annual exhibit and benefit for the homeless in Central Virginia and Haiti Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Road, Mechanicsville.

Gala is Friday – adults only – tickets $20 in advance or $25 at door. Highlight of the evening is energetic live and silent auctions. Local organizations include Safe Harbor and MECF’s Rapid Rehousing.

Five cinder-block homes have been built in Haiti from proceeds as well. Saturday and Sunday you may quietly view the nativities as soft music plays.

Admission is $5 per adult or $1 for children under 18 years of age. There will be special activities for the family and children, including costumes to dress up in, a photo opportunity so bring your camera!
